I agree, Metal_Green_Mickey. Seeing how easily a couple of goals were conceded last night when players were out of position, 4 at the back would definitely be a wise idea. Either 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 but we need a greater presence in defence than just 3 players.

McCormick

Moore
Aimson
Opoku
Watts

Edwards
Mayor
Reeves
G Cooper

Hardie
Jephcott

Time to change the system and give Cooper a rest to see whether having McCormick barking orders helps the defence.

I'd like to see that team and formation.

So Mayor plays centre mid when he is our best outlet on the wing? And who is the ball winner in front of the defence? Camara plays for me every time. I fear G Cooper is a league 2 player similar to Hardie.

I have yet to watch any televised Argyle match, perhaps the regulars can comment on this idea. Play Aimson, Watts, Opoku, and Canavan in the same team with one of them playing in a defensive central midfield role. Even Alec Ferguson used Paul Jones in such a role, both in Europe and The EPL with success.
PARIS: Plymouth Argyle resolute in Southampton.

I think I'd best leave it to RL then.

If you take Cooper out now it will destroy him and kill off all that potential. Maybe a better idea would be to get Cooper together with McCormick for a long chin wag. He needs building up not putting down.
Sorry to say it, but not many on this page are blessed with man-management skills.

Or he stays in the team, concedes another 4 or 5 goals and it destroys him and kills off all that potential.
Jephcott, who is a similar age to Cooper, has been rested to the bench a few times this season and there's no problem.

Lowe has to decide how to develop Cooper's career and is it best served to keep playing him or give him a little rest for a few games.
