I will say it until lm blue in the face like a smurf ....

You can’t take the **** playing non specialist people at wingback.

...

At right back Byron Moore as l can’t think of any natural right back.

Sorry to be selective with my quoting of your piece MGM, but you say how we don't have specialist wing backs, and then you want to play Moore in a position where he'd been even less suited?!

I agree, trying 4 at the back would be worth it - if we had the players in the squad to facilitate it. We don't. We need to tweak the 3-5-2 to increase defensive protection from midfield before we try moving to a back 4. But if that doesn't work...

Sign two proper right backs in January and get Sawyer fit again and convert Conor Grant or Opoku to left back permanently, and yeah let's go for it.

I think Moore can play RB no problem. So you suggest we need to get TWO rb in transfer window! Plus 2 CB I guess. Plus a ball winner in Midfield? Plus another striker? I hope Hallett has deep pockets

Agree about Moore. He looked far more comfortable when he moved to the right.

You need to stop saying Copper is not good enough. He is a young keeper. Luke was the same at the start of his career. Copper just needs time and encouragement from the supporters and the coaching staff.

I'd like to play 18 at the back, two riding mobility scooters on the flanks, a midfield six wearing stilts and Hardie and Jephcott both sat on Big Frank's shoulders as one giant striker.

And before anyone says that's ridiculous, it's no more so than suggesting Ryan Lowe will play four at the back.

I'm with you, Woodsy!

Exactly my point BG - do we sign a number of new players in the hope that we'll be better playing a back 4? Or do we first try and tweak the back 3 system that suits our squad better and use the large squad that we already have? Thats the decision we have to make over the coming weeks.

I think Moore is a decent attacking RWB at this level. But at right back, you have to be better at defensive positioning, marking and heading. I dont see that Moore has any of these attributes. He's got the energy and quickness to get up and down the line, sure - but he'd have to learn the right back role, which takes time - far moreso than adapting from a striker to an attacking wing back. Its nowhere near as simple as saying "you did well at right wing back, do that but in line with the defence rather than the midfield". It'd be a mess.

No chance of Lowe changing formation..why would he? This formation and philosophy has won him back to back promotions....I think it will take more than two very bad performances to rip it up and start again .. and rightly so

Let's qualify your comments .He won promotion with Bury and again with us by default. He is now managing at a higher level and has proved nothing yet. We are 15th 6 points from the playoffs and 6 points from relegation. As well as two very bad performances we have had a quite few bad performances away from home.

Ok promotion with bury and had us 3rd and in great form with 9 games to go ...I think it’s fair to say that his short managerial career has been fairly successful so far ....15 th as a newly promoted team is a respectable start...i can tell your not a big fan of lowes and although I’m very happy he’s our manager , I agree he still has a lot to prove...my point is why would he change formation/ philosophy when on the whole it’s been very successful?

That's the danger though isn't it? Complacency. Also its actually 3 very poor performances. Many seem to have conveniently forgotten Peterborough where we didn't create one single chance.
