Reading people’s summaries at the game l think there are positives.

1. The full backs. Overall for youngsters to come into a brand new team like this they seem to be doing well.

2. Macey. Seems to be doing all he can and seems to give us a presence.

3. We played better as the game wore on. That’s positive especially with having 10 men for last 25 mins.

The key areas of concern now seem to be making Argyle more potent going forward and cutting out the silly mistakes.

The first thing can be done by a system change. Or bringing in different personnel from either the squad or transfer market on loan. Seems to be were missing that physicality in midfield which might change when Sarcevic is back. Also we need to learn how to attack better in numbers and help whoever is upfront on their own.

Wondered how long it would be before the ref came up. Last week according to someone we should have had 4 penalties this week at least 2. Must be unluckiest team in The country.

The poor performance from the referee had a huge affect on the game but Carey with his hot head (a red card waiting to happen) and Ness with his ill-discipline were equally as bad.

That said, credit to the 10 players, including Carey, who put Coventry under pressure for large spells of the second half, so much so that the Coventry fans were whistling for their 12th man to blow the final whistle.

I didn’t go to the game and I am a miserable s@d today; get my facts in early.

My view is I don’t mind losing, it is part of football. I do mind watching professional footballers giving away points every week because they cannot be disciplined. It’s not hard.

The penalties have cost us 5 points at face value, add in Eddy’s needless foul for the Walsall winner and that’s 7 points binned because we cannot keep our heads in three games. The fact that two of those of penalties, the Walsall free kick and the sending offs are from players (and a manager) that went through this last year is inexcusable.

I am very irritated tonight by players who should know better. Time for them to wake up and look at some of our new signings actions and attitudes.

Probably the most accurate and fair asssessment I have read on this board. However, I do think that the red card was very harsh as it was deflected - so not deliberate? I also think Lumieras was outstanding when he came on.

I have just seen the handball on the highlights. Looks a harsh sending off to me. The ball deflected off his bicep, there is movement towards the ball, but that looks like he was swinging his arm as you would when you’re running, and any deviation from the natural swinging of his arm was an attempt to keep his arm away from the ball.

Free kick, maybe, but seen worse waved on. Sending off, no.

I'd say that Argyle are indeed the unluckiest team in the country if they have the likes of you ""supporting" them from the sidelines.

Dumb comment. I've followed them through thick and mainly thin all weathers for 50 years. You?

Easier to follow them from Plymouth than Balham, I'd say. Just the 25 years for me, I'll admit. By the way, "dumb" is an embarrassing Americanism.

Just home.

I don't think you can really blame the referee for the defeat, he was poor but we put ourselves in a very tough position, it was a stonewall penalty for them and a stupid second yellow for Ness, those were the two big decisions and those were correct in my view.

We stepped up a few gears when we went to ten men but we still didn't really create anything much clear cut.

It wasn't a terrible performance but it wasn't a good one either, frustrating because I thought Coventry on the whole looked poor and sloppy, they were there for the taking and on a perfect pitch in one of the least intimidating grounds you'll ever play in, we didn't do enough.

Anyway, on to Tuesday.

Oh and just to add, the Ricoh arena is a depressing place, may look impressive but it's in the middle of nowhere, no decent places for a pre match drink bar an expensive underground casino. Also a very dead atmosphere with the stadium surely less than a third full.

I watched his performance in the play off semi with the unfortunate Notts County and remember thinking "how the f*#k has this clown managed to get on the football league list?"

Without his efforts Coventry would not have made the final simple as that!

Tin hat on but for a big man I think Ryan Taylor goes down far too easily and has done for a while now I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on it, I like him a lot but I wish he'd devote himself more to winning headers and getting shots away rather than constantly trying to win fouls.

Yep, I agree Cobi. Taylor went down too easily in the box and should have got a shot away. I’m not knocking him too much though as he’s still working his way back to full fitness and is very important to the team.

Absolutely tragic that they left city centre Highfield Road for that, even without the nightmare rent situation.
