Our wing play is so important. Without it we lack any width and we get easily contained centrally barring the odd through ball that makes it way to the forwards.
That’s why I think the movement and over laps are also important. The prime example of that is Macfadzean and Mayor last season.
I got such a good feeling from Reeve’s 20 minute cameo yesterday. He played 2 or 3 balls that were on the money and he looks the exact type of player to demand the ball, and release it forward again in 1-2 touches. His corner routine was top top standard and unlucky not to score from it.
It’s a shame that our 2 prime areas are now our 2 weakest. Edwards will take the RWB role and the left needs improving on. Sadly I don’t think Calvin has done enough from what I’ve seen. If he signs I think it’ll be because we missed out on cooper or someone else.
Hardy will get 10-15 goals this season, Young Luke the same.
Macleod, Camara and Reeves got me excited yesterday. Another LWB to accompany them and maybe a late loan to give us another option and I think we will be ok.
