This new keeper we’ve signed is quite a find. Shame we couldn’t get him in August otherwise the season may look very different!!

Bang on.

Another game goes by where our goalkeeper isn't peppered with shots for 90 minutes because his defence is all over the place.

Of course it's just mere coincidence that this happened as soon as Micey was dropped.

Yawn.

We pressed brilliantly from the front, as we have in every game since Ruben’s return. Which is coincidentally when the run started.

Keeper was little more than a sweeper because of this.

Indeed...it's a welcome sight seeing a now generally solid defence and a goalkeeper who knows how to command his area and organise.

Can't remember much clamour from the pundits on here that he should be our #1 back in August. In fact, if I recall correctly, most of the experts thought that he should be below young Cooper in the pecking order.

ROLL UP! ROLL UP!! It’s the Balham_Green show, free entry to the most boring show in town, playing every night, every week, every month, pretty much for as long as he needs the attention.

Why dont you respond to the person calling somebody a troll?!

Because in all honesty you are a bit trolly, maybe not in the conventional sense but a distant relation nonetheless. Out of everyone who posts, and there’s plenty of others that I don’t always agree with what they say, you are the worst for taking over a thread with your style of posting. It has nothing to with differing opinions, you just can’t let people have theirs without you having to belittle them & constantly dig at them with your snide little comments. I sometimes think that it’s all been one big joke & you’ll reveal yourself as playing a character all this time, otherwise it’s all a little sad if you speak this way towards others in real life.

I'm thinking he may be getting a bit frustrated waiting for Letheren to lose a game for us so he can come out with the 'I told you so' chant. Not tonight BG. Another solid performance from Lethers. Cracking stop from point blank range again early in the first half.

Think you are confused. 'Told you so' what?

Your lack of acknowledgment of his performance to date and dismissal of him as a decent goalkeeper indicates to me that you are in the 'Kyle is carp, Macey is better' camp. Along with the other Macey lovers like Justin, I'm surmising that you are more than likely just waiting for Letheren to make a mistake that will cost us a game. Once that happens, I'm suggesting that you will be immediately posting comments to the effect of 'I told you so'. Didn't really think that I needed to paint such a picture for you but then I remembered the last time we 'jousted'.

More than anything it’s down to Lameiras coming in at the start of the unbeaten run = actual pressing high up the pitch = defence play a higher line = keeper is a sweeper = less pressure on our defence, less play in our defensive third = less actual saves to make and less for the keeper to do.

Opposition will try and target Letheren with crosses into the box but even that has been restricted by our the force of our attacking triangulate and high press.

At least we should agree that the good run coincides with Letheren and Lameiras being in the starting line-up, and we now no longer have Macey in goal or only one striker, which is what most on here were calling for!

......and when Letheren is called upon he does his job making point blank saves and being quick off his line to dive at the attackers' feet to block the shot like a good keeper should. Go on Justin....you know you want to say it....

Not so good with 60 yarders though eh? Macey made a lot of saves.

He’s reassured and a decent shot stopper.

Fully deserving of his credit and the back 4 look more solid than ever post Bradley/Vyner.

He just keeps continuing to do so well, excellent organiser, excellent keeper and consistent - which Macey was not.
