I have known people told they were redundant and escorted of the premises within the hour. They got their full redundancy money, but left immediately. The problem with that is that you are officially still employed until the end of your notice period and can't start another job immediately.

Perhaps the quote by Lowe ‘I wanted my own people around, and my own people to do the work I wanted’ is probably the reason for his departure.
But you wonder what sort of work a physio does that a manager wants doing that the physio isn’t doing?

No doubt this was all delicately handled. I would imagine NDA’s are the order of the day.

If both parties are happy to sign such agreements then presumably it was financially acceptable to all.

I’d say best left there really rather attach any supposition to the situation.
