Wonderful ground, a proper club with real history AND they won the cup.

I wish Argyle could/would emulate them.

And they have Frank Skinner as a celebrity fan. Not Josh Widdecombe. :funny:

I'll see your Frank Skinner and raise you an Adrian Chiles!!

Pointless club? Whilst we see Salford and MKD at HP??
Adrian Chiles was in the Brit when we played WBA in the Championship

Absolutely agree. Wherever I have lived or socialised in the world I have always come across a good number of Baggies. A great club to follow I would imagine with all the local rivalry with The Dingles, The Vile and The Blue Noses. I never seem to meet so many fans of Wolves, Villa or Birmingham.

West Brom are probably the most pointless club in world football.

You will have to explain the point of Argyle to me then, because I am not sure what we have ever done that earns us the right to have a go at West Brom.

I'd say Salford City are the most pointless football club anyway. Have they noticed Old Trafford over there? That's not a bad local team on your doorstep to go and watch.

Instead the Class of 92 want to pump their money into a vanity project to take this nothing club up the leagues like a real life case of Football Manager.

Fleetwood? Mind you at least they are a proper pla(i)ce :coat:

Was he looking happy? Mind you, he used to like his ale, so probably was.

And what is the rationale behind that seeping statement?
They are a club which has been run prudently by its' directors. They have not spent mega bucks on players they cannot afford or attempt to cope with their unreasonable wage demands. They do not have a ground capacity to equal the likes of ManU, Liverpool or Chelsea to enhance turnover, but they have nevertheless not gone into administration, nor liquidation. They might be struggling presently, but I do not consider they deserve the description you apparently honour them with

We've all got clubs we like and dislike and they're the latter for me. Some are obvious, like Exeter and Wycombe, and others a bit less rational.

Don’t forget, Gordon Nisbet started his career there Woodsy :nworthy:

He was quite jovial to be honest.

I think they beat us to.

Anyone seeing Nissie in goal V Cardiff that New Years Day would find that very hard to believe,

What a full back though. Scored some scorchers and I remember one at the BP end which nearly took the net out. That might have been West Brom or maybe Oldham. Great player so thanks to West Brom for letting us have him, via Hull I think.

In my Argyle supporting 53 years, one of the very best we've had. A wonderful player.

Was that the game where Carlton Palmer scored a late, flukey long range goal for them as they kicked into the Barn Park End? He was out on the wing in front of the Grandstand at the time.he kicked

Think that was before Adrian Chiles time Quint. It was in the late 80's and I remember it well as it was the one and only time I ever sat in the Werthers Original stand. Chiles was probably still at Uni then as he’s only 53 now.
