What a thoroughly horrible club.

A lot of animals in the away end today, but I'm sure 95% of their crowd were there just for the football.

I went to Rovers away in 15/16 and witnessed plenty of equally knuckle-headed Argyle morons being escorted to the ground by police.

These "big" games always bring out the mouth-breathers at every club.

A number of broken seats , thought at one stage they were going to break the police barrier, pathetic and passion going a step too far..................great win for Argyle though, Rovers were a poor team today.

Completed misinterpretation Rich- it’s not passion, it’s pathetic, set piece thuggery. If it was passion it would be more spontaneous.

Rover's fans I met in the Brit were friendly and realistic. Thought their club was underfunded and manager doing a good job. Would have settled for a point, not to be obviously..., sadly a few idiots in their ranks as in most clubs. No way a 'horrible club'

i disagree that they are a horrible club.their yobs are but not the real supporters.it was awful to watch those slobs fighting.

Agree with this. I dislike them more than anyone else in the division, seen too much lame brain behaviour from their 'finest' over the years. However, that perspective was challenged at their place earlier in the season, walking to and from the ground came across a lovely couple, Rovers through and through and real football people, good chat and banter, as good as any supporters in the land.

Not a horrible club with people like that following them. Still don't like them though...

I know quite a few Rovers fans. In the main, they are really decent folk supporting a good club who have a bigger neighbour who always seem to overshadow them a bit. It’s not a horrible club at all. Any fans that choose to support their local team despite the lure of the Prem are ok with me. They have no more or less ratio of decent fans to knuckle walking idiots than most clubs, including us. Don’t tar them all with the same brush. We always have a game or two away each season when our club is shamed by idiots. Mansfield away a couple of seasons back I recall?

It only kicks off when they're here these days. It's almost a good thing to note how dated that looks these days.

I feel sorry for the majority of the Gasheads who may have been embarresed by those antics.

After consideration, I apologise for tarring them all with the same brush. Of course they have good fans as well, it was just a sad throwback to a time when the game itself was threatened by knuckledraggers.

I do agree , as there is a fine line from passion and thugs, I think my post was stating that.......
This why I did not take my 8 yr old today, Southend will be his last game this season unless the play offs.

Im sorry but Argyle fans were no better. I was in block 18 as soon as they scored an Argyle fan jumped the corden and ran at the rovers fans before being tackled by the stewards. The idiot missed a good game. At 3-2 both sets of fans tried to get at each other. A group of men, young and old stood for the whole game. One punched our own steward at 0-1 they were there for one reason to cause trouble. At lot of them had the same checked scaf and hats on. Maybe they are call the rupet gang, muppets would suit them better. So idiots on both sides.

Are they all still wearing fake Burberry? Muppets.

Not a Rovers hater though. Always liked the club - it’s been battered and bruised over the last 30 years but survived well against the odds.

Just to clarify. You met ONE couple and your views changed? So before that you thought ALL their fans were thugs?

I've tried hard not to gain the belief that all people who live in Balham spend their lives trawling internet message boards, looking for reasons to be vile and righteous. Anyway, we won 3-2 today - a reason for a happy Saturday evening full of goodwill toward your fellow man?!

The guy who hurdled the netting was smashed or high. Out of his mind on dope and speed. Or a smack head. Certainly not representative. I doubt he would have appreciated a good game had he stayed.

The Burberry twins were hilarious and the stone island tops are just 20 years passed their sell by date.

Interesting that the stewards were chatting heartily with them, out of uniform some of them are probably mates.
