The second highest attendance of the season at Home Park, very close to being the highest.

Was good to see some international football at Home Park.

Cracking attendance (11406), just wish more would turn out for Argyle matches. Took a different seat to usual, back row of the corner between the Devonport & Lyndhurst, a really good view to be honest.

Thought England looked in control for the majority of the game, the US came into it more in the second period although that was more down to flooding the England box rather than having much quality.

Stephens played well on his return to HP. John Swift (On loan at Swindon from Chelsea) was MOTM for me, plays a lot like a better version of Dom Blizzard to be honest. Alex Mowatt (Leeds) clearly has a big future ahead of him, he was very good in the middle. Callum Robinson (Villa) & Chuba Akpom (On loan at Forest from Arsenal) both did well when they came on. Grimes had a good first half but totally faded during the second, he might be a good player, but his corner's are worse than those of Bobby Reid.

The US didn't have much, they bizarrely removed their most effective player at HT (guy with the funny hair), thought they had taken it to penalties late in the game but the goal was ruled out for handball.

Overall, some very good individual performances, but England were quite casual at times, while the US had plenty of urgency, but little quality.

Where are this lot usually on a Saturday? Wish they'd turn up for the games that really matter.

Something different for a Sunday afternoon. England went into it knowing they'd win from how cocky they were which didn't always pay off.

Best player on the pitch was Jon Swift, really clever player and could pick out a pass. He ended up scoring and getting an assist.

Not much atmosphere apart from a few kids shouting "England" could have done with a drum or something

Hopefully a few there today will turn up for our games too.

...maybe the fact that it was only £3 to get in rather than £20 had some bearing on the attendance. There's a case for lower pricing m'lord.

11,406 at £3 is £34,218
7,000 at £20 is £140,000

Over 23 games that is a loss of over £2.4 million, unfortunately that is the case against m'oddball.

£34,218 x 23 = £787,014

£140,000 x 23 = £3,220,000

£3,220,000 - £787014 = £2,432,986

what is £32,986 amongst friends.

If we get to the play off final I'm sure you will find we have 30,000 lifelong supporters who have never missed a game
