1 point from 6 against teams in the bottom half of the league, not good enough. A tough run of fixtures coming up as well, can't help but be disappointed.
Absolutely. we have 6 really tough games away still to come and its totally conceivable that we will be lucky to haul 6 points from those fixtures and consequently see our 8 point cushion disappear
PROMOTION teams win these games against bottom teams. Shouldn't be relying on others to SLIP UP all the time.
Its quite an uninspiring and unconvincing season for a team at the top
We have the best away record in the division Sam, maybe it is our opponents who need to be worried in those 6 games.
Like Hartlepool were?
Our ONLY away draw of the season.
We've had 10 away wins though.
Are you capable of looking at the bigger picture? Or is it just about throwing the toys out of your pram because you expect Argyle to win every game and have the league sewn up by Easter?
We didn't even lose this game either...
I'm seeing the bigger picture.
Look at March, Get 6 from the last two games, and March has a lot less pressure. Now it has a lot more.
These should have been won, no excuses. The teams we played were poor, and we weren't good enough to win when we came up against the fight. This happened last season too & now we're still in league 23, or is that out of scope of the picture?
Hardly any of this season's team was involved last year. Those that have stayed, the likes of Sawyer, McCormick and Jervis can hardly be blamed for last year.
Unless you attribute last season's drop to Adams? But I agree with DA when he said that not many supporters would have done things much differently to how he did it last season. The team had no depth, no rotations options, and the side virtually picked itself. No one was calling for Houghton instead of Hartley for example. The lads were exhausted towards the end of the season - a lot of them had played 40-50 matches.
So yes, I think you are narrowing your scope too far to suggest we will collapse based on 12 months ago, this season is different entirely.
Back to the point in hand, the highlights showed we created some good chances against Hartlepool, we lacked a clinical edge but we still come back with an away point. We were the better side.
It's not time to run around predicting a collapse of the season and putting pressure on the manager. We got complacent against Orient perhaps but will learn quickly from that never to take a lead for granted.
Doncaster haven't won in four matches, they might have reason to worry about form collapse a bit more than us.
