Thing is the club web site put out a lot of nonsense but nothing about serious stuff e.g. injuries. We still dont know what the situation is with Carey. Is he out for a week? A month? Nothing serious just the fact we could be without our most creative player with a major impact on our promotion ambitions!!! As a result speculation is encouraged.

I've no idea about the seriousness of Carey's injury but why does anyone need to know?

Surely if opponents are not sure who is in and who is out is a good thing.

Wash your mouth out Ian, how very dare you.

Don't y'know in this modern world everyone has a god given right to know everything about everyone in a timescale no longer than instantly.

I blame facetw@tter

For the record though you're quite right. The ability to keep cards close to it's chest, the absence of leaks, is every bit as welcome a step forward for Argyle as the steps forward on the pitch. I'd argue the two are not mutually exclusive either.

Just because something doesn't fit the modern narrative of instantly available news porn, doesn't make it a bad thing.

So the injury was 10 days ago and he was assessed last week. You have a very strange definition of 'instantly'.
The club want our money and support but are not prepared to give out important information about what is happening with players. As said previously it shows a lack of respect to the fan base.

Must admit when I read the article my first thoughts were he is bluffing, we'll have a strong squad Saturday.

Probably very wrong but let's hope. I have a bad feeling that if the current situation continues we will drop off the pace quite quickly.

Fits exactly what Cobi said.. Luke not training Reuben limped off and only Hartley in full training. Be very surprised if he is bluffing..

Agree Stuart House . The optimistic amongst us were sounding confident we had cover for injuries/ suspensions that has proved not to be the case. But to lose virtually all our key players in such a short time span , I think any team would struggle. its imperative we get most of them back within the next month else we are really going to struggle, to add to the problem I am assuming by the length of time they have been sidelined the injuries must be fairly serious

Yep I would think these injuries are much worse than mere slight knocks/wee niggles.Players could be out for months reading into DA's comments in the Herald.

I may be completely wrong (and I am more often than not!) but reading DA's words in the interview gave me the impression - not for the first time - that he is either extremely frustrated or not fully satisfied with the turn around time of some of these injuries. A couple of times now he has used words like "for one reason and another", almost as if he is not always being given accurate forecasts.

Even worse in some reports he was quoted as being "annoyed"......
