I wonder what the take-up would be if Argyle did a Bradford City-type ST promotion at £149. They've just broken through the 10K barrier and are aiming to sell 17,500! Full house at HP every week would be quite something.

Notwithstanding early bird prices, that league table lists current prices for season tickets for every club in the league and ours are the most EXPENSIVE...

If we want to be self sustaining and have a decent team its bound to cost in STs at this level

Exactly; get to the dizzy heights and the price of a season ticket is insignificant compared to the riches from Sky etc..

With a new manager in place the club should extend the early bird offer for a bit.

Exactly.with a feel good factor briefly surrounding the club, many of its fanbase would now be looking forward to the new season and maybe thinking of buying a season ticket or two. Yet Argyle put the price up and make a season ticket at Argyle the most expensive in the league...You couldn't make it up.

We aren't the dearest, I only looked at two other clubs Luton and AFC Wimbledon and the adult season tickets were dearer at both of them.

Buying the early bird is a bit of a gamble really. It feels like a test of faith and commitment to the Club. You commit to the whole of the next season at a cheaper price not knowing at that moment what level of football you will be getting. For those that had the faith to buy - we have been rewarded by the appointment of a young, experienced, ambitious and motivating mananger (he is already motivating many of the fans) and we have saved a few £££s - the gamble paid off. Looking forward to next season - whatever it costs. Let's hope we all get good value and entertainment for whatever money we spend at Home Park.

I suppose the problem is, if Argyle did re-open it, the refunds for the people who bought at full price could outweigh the benefit of the extra sales.
