You would need to consult a mason on that one as its quite a specialist job,no detergents,no chemicals,no weedkillers nothing like that should be used. And cleaning should be done with toothbrushes rather than wire brushes. As I say you would need a professional to oversee the work, especially bearing in mind the significance of the bricks to a lot of fans.It will cost...

That's two.

I reckon about ten of us could hammer that in four hours.

Who else?
Three, if needed.

I really think we are missing the point here gentlemen.

The OWNER has been getting an easy ride, why on earth are PASOTI or the trust not turning up the heat on James Brent??

It's his club why on earth are volunteers doing the stuff that any decent owner should be doing himself

i don't agree with you bill about turning the heat on james brent.he has much more important things to do than sort out these bricks.he wasn't even at the club when they were sold.i do have a brick there by the way and i bought it with the intention of putting money into the club when the going was good.times are tough at the moment for the club financially and,in my opinion, the club should not fork out for this.

It's not just the bricks, its the rusty stanchions, bobby's garden bla bla ...I could go on forever and a day.

The place is deteriorating beyond reason.

A well run club, with investment in the ground and surroundings, be that cleaning, renovation or in staff recruitment/training, would ultimately pay for itself in attracting more fans through the gate, and consequently also mean more funds for players etc.

It just needs the right people in place, and perhaps most crucially, an owner/boss who cares about the product being served to fans, so staff have someone to be accountable to.

chepstow green!i don't believe for one second that more people would go to argyle because the ground was neat and tidy, which i think it already is by the way.i reiterate, getting out of the misery of the the 4th division is priority, isn't it?

So, knowing what the Chairman said from day one, you'd rather the money was spent on renovating the ground then?

No Carey, Wylde, Reid, Nelson, but polished stanchions and nice painted drainpipes?

Rome wasn't built in a day. If you feel that strongly about the bricks then perhaps you should volunteer your services to clean them up too.

Yes the bricks are important but in the great scheme of things I think Mr Brent probably has more important things on his plate to deal with.

Ah so that's what all this is really about and jackshit to do with Bobbys Garden. Talk about a sheep in wolfs clothing, if you wanted to start a thread about beating JB with a shity stick why not just start a thread as such instead of beating around the bush.

couldn't have put it better myself ian. getting back into,at least the second division-(in old money) has to be the priority and naturally gates and revenue will increase dramatically.
