...or make it a probables v possibles game on the training pitch.

Argyle have to find something or we're going into Peterborough two games behind in terms of preparation.

This is absolutely absurd.

If a fan is known to the police and has a banning order then an European away day should be of no concern as you're required to hand in your passport to police when you club plays abroad or England play abroad. So they wouldn't be able to attend anyway.

The idea that our fans are troublemakers in any way is frankly ridiculous. We're incredibly tame compared to the majority of other clubs. If we're so awful that these games can't be played, then it's amazing any club ever manages a game at all.

It's a poor and desperate excuse from two very selfish Mayors.

The likes of Leeds, Sheff Utd, Wolves have all been on European pre-season breaks - much larger fan base and larger hooligan "firms"

Wolves and Leeds have also both had game called off last minute as far as I'm aware.

I trust the manchildren who set off flares etc are pleased with themselves.....
Are you really naive enough to believe that it's all down to the flares? I've been to many a game in Holland and on the continent to know that flares rightly or wrongly are very much part of the match day experience.

I reckon next season will be in the USA using Mr Halletts contacts out there and spreading the brand with the landmark event coming up soon as well. Just a thought.

Unbelievable news, and ridiculous that Argyle fans are somehow being implicated in this situation on our own website, how insulting.

I've said for a couple of years that there's no better place to have a training camp than North Wales. Plenty of facilities at Bangor University and plenty of decent teams to play against. :D :D

If it weren't the smoke bombs it could have been the threat of pitch invasion, or perhaps the risk of mobile phone lights attracting unwanted moths during butterfly fortnight.

Anyhow, it would be interesting to have a Herald article on precisely who these US 'contacts' are.

Will it be really be any surprise if the plan to commercialise 2020 sinks as sorrowfully as the centeneray went?
