It certainly seems to be the radio edit version :D

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

Well, work it on out, honey (Work it on out)
You know you look so good (Look so good)
You know you got me goin', now (Got me goin')
Just like I knew you would (Like I knew you would)

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

You know you twist your little girl (Twist, little girl)
You know you twist so fine (Twist so fine)
Come on and twist a little closer, now (Twist a little closer)
And let me know that you're mine (Let me know you're mine)

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

You know you twist your little girl (Twist, little girl)
You know you twist so fine (Twist so fine)
Come on and twist a little closer, now (Twist a little closer)
And let me know that you're mine (Let me know you're mine)

Well, shake it, shake it, shake it, baby, now (Shake it up baby)
Well, shake it, shake it, shake it, baby, now (Shake it up baby)
Well, shake it, shake it, shake it, baby, now (Shake it up baby)

The problem is the muppets that started singing this only knew (so only sing) the lines in bold (and repeat) (clearly shown by the above video).
makes it so embarrassing.

So embaraasing  Songs these days don't have many words so its hardly surprising that kids singing don't know half the words and it just peters out into some kind of mumble.

Also everytime the ball goes near one of the goal mouths the whole song stutters and comes to a halt, losing any proper flow.

Other than those participating in the Devonport end no one really hears it.

Much rather just hear "Green and White Barmy Army", "Argyle, Argyle, Argyle" etc

I'm confused now. I thought it was the Green Army. Now you want songs with EXTRA words. ;)

What was the one that went something like,

Ba ba ba da da ba dda dum dum....oi oi ! Possibly with an Argio at the end ?

Not heard it for years, that was a catchy easy one to join in with

So you want people to learn the entirety of Twist and Shout for a football match?

Why?

Do you shut your eyes when you sing then Frank?

If you watch the clips, especially the one at Sid James's Park, none of the manchildren are watching the match, they're just bouncing around like the overgrown loons they are

Not At all, However if you only want to sing 4 lines can you at least pick 4 lines that follow each other in the song... I guarantee more people would join in if you did... Hell the chorus is only 4 lines but you cant even manage that (at all other football matches where fans sing Twist and shout they can manage the chorus and 1 verse).

Yes, how DARE you try and make it different from every other club that does it! But don't you know Argyle are unoriginal? Always copy other teams' chants to the letter? But don't change the chant! But stop doing the same chants!

You really are a sad little man. Honestly, people like you give the older generation a bad name.

Why do you care? I didn't realise that every single supporter had to watch every single second of a football match.

You really are a boring and miserable old man. I'm sure the players would much rather hear the upbeat same four lines for a prolonged period of time than the sound of tumbleweed sweeping through the stadium.

Also, just because somebody supports the team in a different way than yourself, it doesn't make them a manchild or an overgrown loon.

Personally I'd much rather watch a game surrounded with noise, displays or even pyrotechnics than silence but I'm sure I can second guess your opinion on the latter.
