One good powerful anthem that we can call our own like Goodnight Irene or the Pompey Chimes is what we need. Something original and not done before, or stolen from a Facebook 'Away Days' video clips section.

Molly Malone?

:scarf: :scarf: Innit!

Molly Malone isn't original.

Half a pound of flour & lard,
Makes a lovely clacker
just enough for you and me
poor bugger janner

Oh how happy us will be
When us gets to the west country
Where the oggies grow on trees
Poor bugger janner...

Bet there's a few in the grandstand next Saturday who know this. Sing it loud so the youngsters in the demport can hear it

Oggy oggy oggy

But watch out your dentures might end up on the pitch

No smiley suggests a bit of an ageist comment there.

50 out of us, out of the 904,chanting yesterday, very poor.

Perhaps the rest were actually watching the match.......

Such a miserable, boring old goat. Zzzzz

Not at all, I enjoy watching the football .

I'm sure the people chanting are watching the football aswell. Their just making an atmosphere at the same time.

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

Well, work it on out, honey (Work it on out)
You know you look so good (Look so good)
You know you got me goin', now (Got me goin')
Just like I knew you would (Like I knew you would)

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

You know you twist your little girl (Twist, little girl)
You know you twist so fine (Twist so fine)
Come on and twist a little closer, now (Twist a little closer)
And let me know that you're mine (Let me know you're mine)

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

You know you twist your little girl (Twist, little girl)
You know you twist so fine (Twist so fine)

The problem is the muppets that started singing this only knew (so only sing) the lines in bold (and repeat) (clearly shown by the above video).
makes it so embarrassing.

I was told it was nearer 53.

If they sang something sensible and remotely inspiring instead of repeating endlessly the same words the rest might join in!
