This is the recent injection (his last) to keep the club going for 12 months. I guess his total investment/gift to Argyle must be around £16m now. Incredible.

So does the club have any debt now?

Considering the grandstand loan had already been converted into equity, i didn't even know we had £3.5m of debt left

From the article that announced the investment back in June I believe it to be a cash injection to cover a projected shortfall in income caused by the pandemic.

With this share issue, Mr Hallett now owns over 20 million shares.

I understand the need for the cash injection. But the equity isn't replacing a future shortfall. It's replacing a current debt. As far as I understand, but I'm not a an accountant at all.

Unless the Club took out loans from September 2019 it doesn’t have any debt as the loans in the accounts of June 2019 were converted to shares in September 2019.

But just to counter the suggestions i was casting doubt on the investment, this is another example of the Halletts' generosity.
On a side issue I listened to the Peterborough chairman, who said he was budgeting for the worst case scenario of zero fans this calendar year. 'anything else is gravy'. That's approx 4 months, half of the season, and for Argyle would be something like £2.5m - £3m less revenue than expected. Not saying its going to happen but prudent managers will be planning for that scenario.

Great words from the Chairman.

How lucky are we to have him at the helm.

Echo this.

Get through what l think will be a tough season in league one because of financial restrictions, and then push on season after.
