The Seasiders' fans were screaming for Critchley's head up here a few weeks ago now they reckon they're gonna win the league & that he is the messiah & not a very very naughty boy.

Where has this silly ‘Lowe spends too much time going back up North’ stuff come from? Do people stalk him?? It does my head in. No evidence that he is anything other than fully committed to his role. Can we just stop being silly.

It’s nonsense of course to talk of sacking the manager after his first dodgy run of results a third of the way into his first season in a new league. Luckily we know the owner is not one for an emotional kneejerk response.

In the last 2/3 years I’ve started reading a lot more Argyle opinions and it’s been a real eye opener. It’s so easy to throw abuse from behind a pseudonym straight to Argyle, a player, another supporter... it becomes very hard to separate sincere views, whether I agree with them or not, from trolling nonsense.

Now, for the first time in 18 months, we have a truly poor spell and threads like this, and similar comments elsewhere, are everywhere. What is wrong with (a very vocal minority of) our fanbase? It’s in the same bucket as the vile abuse of Michael Cooper.

We have one of the very best chairmen in the whole EFL pyramid, a hungry young manager with back to back promotions, a first team where 2 of our own academy products play in week out (when did that last happen?), a playing philosophy that can deliver wonderful football (we’re League 1 remember, it isn’t going to happen every week), a redeveloped and world apart from what it was stadium... I could go on. I’m not a green tinted, happy clappy fan but some of the comments on here and elsewhere are just complete rubbish.

I don’t want to support a club that sacks the manager at the first sign of trouble. I’m confident we have the staff and players to turn this around. We were far from poor yesterday (and we were very poor against Fleetwood and Rochdale).

 Couldn’t agree more.

I spoke to someone on Friday who may not agree with your last sentence.

So you think sacking somebody who got us relegated is a knee jerk response?

Indeed - however much respect I have for the good times he have us, I would suggest the previous manager was given more than long enough in his final season. It’s a bit soon to be comparing The Last Days of Derek with the current blip.

Now we will see just how good Ryan Lowe is and how he deals with the pressure which this poor run brings. It all seems to have happened since the Wednesday conjecture funnily enough. If I were him I would be asking SH if he can take on a specialist defensive coach. Might make a big difference, because those defensive frailties have been plain to see since last season. They’re just getting punished more often at the next level.

Anybody saying Lowe should be sacked is either on a wind up mission, or hasn’t got a clue. Surprising how soon it starts.

I see Site Admin’s been busy today.

I’m not sure which part of ‘no politics’ is hard to grasp really?

There’s forums on here and elsewhere for that poo.

Many of us welcome a rest from all that crap to be honest.

We weren’t relegated when he was sacked.
