I am not a fan of Cowdery doing the commentating for all of the reasons discussed on here already. It's notionally fine when he's doing the interviews for the website (although he's no Andrew Neil in those, tbh, and always sounded terrified of Adams), but a commentary is different. We don't want pro-club soundbytes - we're supporters already, so the proselytizing is wasted on us - we want a reasonably accurate portrayal of what's happening. By all means be pro-Argyle when we do well - Sparksy's enthusiam was great - but don't dress it up as something else when we don't.

Combinations of Drew, Gritton, Errington and Fox have all worked well this season.

I always thought Sparksy and Chris Errington made the perfect team for commentating on Argyle matches. One being the green-tint fanatic who always saw the plus side of all things Argyle and the other the more reasoned voice of reality, bringing things back down to earth again.

Completely agree with that statement. I miss their commentary on away games.

I have to say, I like listening to Gritten. Good radio voice and always makes interesting observations. Pro-Argyle without being over the top about it.
