I think 17 is the casino in Union Street. GEC definitely did have a building in that part of the street.
Is 26 Exeter Street? The Cattedown roundabout end?

Beat you to it by 3 minutes

As I have had a go already, I don't want to spoil it for others but, in 23, the building on the extreme right with the arched windows, is still standing and may have been frequented by many on this site.

Yes, Barrie, I've also had a go, and agree with your last comment.
What really amuses me is why anyone took photo 6. Was it the last one on a film which they wanted to develop, and having got it back, why did they keep it for 30+years?

Maybe they were trying to be artistic - or were from the ad agency!

The building looks like it could be The Bank. If so, the people in the foreground would be
standing roughly where Derry's Clock stands now.

Very good. The clock is just out of shot to the left. If you were there now, you would be looking at the back of the Theatre Royal.

No. 4 is quite a historic picture, presumably at Roborough Airport in the 1920s where the plane, the second De Havilland DH50 to be built is seen about to fly its route back to Croyden for Imperial Airways. It was later fitted with floats and a bigger fuel tank in preparation for a flight by Sir Alan Cobham to Australia and back (and also South Africa) to show that commercial flights to the colonies were possible.
