I for one have always enjoyed your contribution and hope it continues but if it doesn't I understand that as well.

The main thing is, our team is top, and most of celebrate that.

I'll still contribute Ian, although most of what I have to say is normally utter nonsense :lol: Differing views need to be respected though, without this pigeon-holing of posters into either the "bucket-rattler" camp or the "freaks and weirdos" camp, both phrases of which are equally annoying.

I know mate, I think you're genuinely trying to think everyone can be nice and cuddly, but as has been said, that's quite easy when you're not one of the ones involved.

Thankfully I'm less selfish than that, and as I say, I've seen nasty and vile stuff about Chris Webb, snarky stuff about Sue Pollard, awful stuff about JB - why? All I've seen from them is a real effort to pull this great club of ours away from the precipice, The one's that do it? Not a jot, not a thing, just the dust cloud as they ran away.

Yes, it's a fair point Ian and one I have acknowledged before.

What I will say, if you don't mind, is that this site is becoming less enjoyable, as understandable paranoia seeps in. I have been jumped upon a couple of times when I thought I was expressing reasonable and fairly neutral points. Now it doesn't bother me much, water off a duck's arse and all that but I suspect it puts a few off posting.

It's not paranoia if someone really is out to get you.

You are missing my point Ian. I am not comparing the two, I just don't want to be pigeon-holed into either for my views which are, in the vast majority of cases, somewhere in-between the two.

Sorry mate, I do get touchy when people attempt to say 'You're both as bad as each other'. But I can see you're not saying that.

What does hurt me is the fact that Lloyd allows personal and nasty attacks on people like Sue Pollard (using photographs) and that is allowed to go unchecked. Now that is cowardice by both the page 'owner' and the freak who posted such stuff.

One of the little freaks who loves to load the gun is Yea Man. He was banned from here for posting pornography and hasn't stopped boasting about it since. He knows this site is viewed by adults, teens and children. He even calls himself 'Cheltenham Porn King'. Total perverted slime.

Here's a question for you guys:
Can the authorities do anything about pornography being posted on a site that is knowingly viewed by children?

As for that bloke, his favourite 'thing' was to call me fat, ugly etc etc, in the now time honoured repeat repeat repeat. To be fair I can't say he's lying, BUT I was shown his photo by someone. All I can say is "Hell, it was like looking into a mirror' :funny:

Having been the OP on this thread, on page 2 I posted the above comment. I thought that, as James Brent considered the badge a joke, it would perhaps cause a couple of pages of light banter. I certainly didn't realise that it would cause the furore that has occurred in about 100 posts.

Unfortunately, 2 recent comments have suggested the following :-

Previously on this thread I made the point about the O P was just trying to cause trouble there's the problem butter would not melt in their mouth.

I would just like to say that I am a pensioner but I was not acting like a child and I was certainly not trying to 'cause trouble' as I have explained above.

To anyone else who thinks that was my intention, I sincerely apologise if I gave the wrong impression and I hope that this thread soon 'dies in the water'.

They are wrong, not one Mod has and if I tried to (which I haven't) the likes of Mark, Keith, Ollie etc etc would be on my in a second. It's not the site works anymore, It's as simple as that. A few years ago I made an error of judgement and it caused a great stir etc etc, but when I come back, the Mods made it quite clear that was not the way they wanted it run. They were totally right.

So, it goes to show that some people are influenced by them, you are an example of that. Why should they get away with saying such stuff?

The overwhelming silver lining in Brent buying the Freehold is of course that he'll be up the road a darn sight quicker, once his profit target can be realised. Him buying the Freehold thankfully makes this possible.

The lingering danger is still here though, and it has worsened. He apparently blew £1.5m on the most half-arsed plan known to man which of course was doomed to fail, which it did way before planning was permitted for Bretonside. Brent will be looking now to recoup that outlay too, which means his plan for a micro-stand could have that budget slashed even further - that was, is and always will be my issue with Brent - his plans DO NOT have PAFC's best longterm interests as a no1 priority. He showed that clearly with his doomed plan with no supporters bar and all retail unit rental going straight to Akkeron.

He quite simply must not be allowed to build PAFC a 4th division stand. Sell up, make your profit, and let someone with genuine vision and PAFC at heart have a go.
