Stewarding in Lyndhurst Stand

I was asked by a steward to 'start making your way out now please' from the Grandstand today. Thing is that Fylde were just coming off the pitch away from their supporters and I (with several hundred others) was applauding them off.

No complaining, no rudeness involved, but could we not be asked to 'start making .. etc' after the teams have left the pitch? only minutes/seconds in it? :think:

I understand if it's shortly before kick off but I think I was the 2nd person to enter the devonport, I got in at about 2 O'clock, went to the front as there was no point going to my seat yet, and the stewards didn't like that, there was nobody else in the ground!

I understand it during the last few minutes and full time for sure, but I've never seen it cause a problem in the build up to a match....especially not an entire hour before kick off when there are 3 or 4 people around.

It does give the stewards something to do though considering the ridiculous amount present at each game standing around.

Yep. Absolutely ridiculous getting escorting to our seats instantly. Even children denied the chance of getting any players to sign autographs. Haven't seen this implemented at any other ground in the country before. Section 14 the steward was happy to shout about.

You're words " to smash the f*ck out of the back boards" indicates you are encouraging other fans to damage pafc property, you should choose you're words more carefully if this is not the case then.

They also got a battering during the shootout against Orient.

Why did you feel the need to annoy the stewards during a penalty shoot out. I would have thought you'd be actually concentrating on what was going on on the pitch rather than winding up the stewards?
