An entertaining game played in awful conditions of a strong swirling wind and heavy rain.
A 3-3 draw against the bottom team in League One isn't a good result but it at least pushed us one point closer to the team in 20th position.
The three Bradford goals were Christmas gifts three weeks early and the result of some really poor defending and goalkeeping with Matt Macey once again making saves but pushing the ball back into the danger area for Bradford to score the first two goals.
Going forward we played well and created several chances, so you have to feel sorry for the attacking players when they are let down by the two centre-backs and keeper.
Bradford looked a poor side, highlighted by our 20 attempts on goal compared to their eight and our 61% of possession but it's goals that count.
Credit to the players for coming from behind three times and not giving up.
Bradford lined up with former Argyle players Kelvin Mellor and Anthony O'Connor playing as centre-backs with Mellor surprisingly on the left side of the two.
Jamie Ness missed out through injury so surprisingly Derek Adams shuffled his defence by bringing in Ryan Edwards and Yann Songo'o moved forward into midfield. A better option to cover the absence of Ness would to have left the settled defence alone, move Sarcevic back to partner Fox in midfield and Ruben Lameiras to play behind Freddie Ladapo.
Whatever the reasons the move unsettled the defence and led to Bradford's first goal.
With seemingly no danger Edwards miskicked and allowed Miller to advance on goal, Macey saved his shot but as he has done throughout the season he parried the ball back into the danger area for Payne to tap in. 1-0 to Bradford, a Macey or Edwards own goal? You decide.
We took the game to Bradford and the forward players were playing well, Joel Grant and Graham Carey were causing problems in the wide areas but there was panic from the defenders and anxious growns from the fans whenever Bradford crossed the halfway line.
We got back into the game when a short corner was returned to Carey who delivered a fantastic cross for Ladapo to head in from close range. 1-1.
We know that Ladapo always scores two goals at home, more about that later.
We couldn't keep the lead and more comedy goalkeeping from Macey allowed Bradford to go 2-1 up. Guess what he did? Yep, parried a shot back into the danger area for Payne to slot home. Rinse and repeat.
We still played well going forward, Carey had a free-kick that hit the post, Fox and Grant both had shots saved, we really deserved to be at least level.
Would Adams replace Canavan, Macey or Edwards at half-time? No, as you were for the second half.
We put pressure on the Bradford defence and finally had some luck when Ladapo played in Grant, a Bradford player looked to have cleared the danger but the ball hit the advancing Grant and rolled over the line. 2-2.
All we had to do now was sit tight and settle down.
Nope, just three minutes later a long hopeful ball deceived our centre-backs and Miller raced away and easily slotted past Macey.
We didn't give up and Fox had a header superbly tipped over the bar.
Edwards was finally put out of his misery and was replaced by Taylor, Songo'o moved back into defence and Sarcevic partnered Fox in midfield but it was a strange narrow 4-2-2-2 formation because Carey and Grant were playing directly behind Ladapo and Taylor and we had no width, although at least we had two strikers playing close together.
Taylor copied Fox and saw his header tipped over the bar.
We equalised for a third time and once again it came from a Carey assist, his corner found Ladapo who slotted home from close range. 3-3 and another brace for Freddie.
Would Bradford now score a fourth goal?
Lameiras replaced Grant but we lost momentum and it was Bradford who finished the game stronger, Macey made a good save low down at the expense of a corner and in the dying minutes of this crazy game we had a corner that eluded everyone when all it needed was a touch for a last gasp winner.
How bad was that defending and goalkeeping?
It was shambolic, the two full backs can be excused and they both played ok, Riley carried an injury for most of the second half.
Why the urgency to bring Edwards back into the team? Songo'o had formed a good partnership with Canavan, the move unsettled the defence and Edwards was clearly not ready to return.
It cost us the game and a vital 3 points.
Canavan did improve when Songo'o moved back to partner him, although there were still mistakes and anxious moments.
Fox had another good game, knitting things together, Sarcevic blows hot and cold when he can be bothered and Carey had two assists and had one of his better games.
Grant was playing well but was subbed, after that we lost momentum and never recovered. Songo'o had a poor start to the game and looked a fish out of water in midfield, he at least improved later in the game.
Ladapo scored two goals and claimed an assist, he played well but you just wish he would offer more in general play, Taylor showed how to do that when he arrived up front.
What to do about Macey? Is there a financial penalty we have to pay to Arsenal if he doesn't play? Is Letheren so poor as a back-up that he can't replace a keeper who has conceded the most goals in League One?
Adams needs to find an answer to the keeper situation, either now or in January, because this can't carry on.
Man of the match - Ladapo.
