Eugh that's bad.

I fear this season is going to be a total wash out - and it's not worth thinking about what'll happen to a lot of smaller clubs because of it.

Majority of Leyton Orient squad test positive for Covid-19 before Spurs tie

https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... pWPYx-5YeM

That article reads as if Orient have been reckless.

"It is understood some Orient players played against Plymouth despite not feeling 100%."

Will Argyle be speaking with their legal advisors, I ask?

I bloody hope so. That's disgraceful if true.

The test is simple and doesn’t give you a sore throat. I’ve had 3 tests myself.

I had a test before an operation in July.

I had a sore throat for three days and sore nasal passages for four. The operation caused much less discomfort!

Totally irresponsible IF that's the case.

Legal advisors, though? What are we going to sue them for? If we win the case, have Orient got money to pay? If we lose, we'll incur significant costs.

It's imperative that lower league clubs do everything they can to help each other at the moment. Throwing around threats of litigation is not helpful.

Postcode said tests costs £125?
Is that just for footballers because tests are usually FREE!!!!!

Tests are only free if you have symptoms or work in essential jobs.

The cost of testing was the main reason L1 & L2 voted to not restart last season.

I thought I had read in the press somewhere that the Premier League had agreed to cover the cost of the tests for clubs in the EFL. There had originally been a proposal for the parachute payment continuing to be due to the likes of Fulham to be diverted and shared amongst League One and Two teams, now that Fulham had been promoted back to THe Premiership after just one season. The Premiership refused to accept this and offered the testing cost coverage instead [big deal]
