Looks like a serious thrust at promotion to me. If we’re well funded through the chairman’s input, and some other clubs aren’t, then why not?

We're sitting in 8th place. We've made a good start. We've got a good manager, a great set up and a group who obviously play for the shirt and eachother. Personally I don't think we'll have quite enough to be promoted this season, however it's far from unthinkable, particularly when you consider Wycombe got themselves up last season, Oxford & Fleetwood nearly did and they sit below us.

That is your opinion.We have made a reasonable start. We have a manager who talks the talk but has yet to prove how good he is in league 1. Very few of our players play for the shirt. They are journeymen who would move at the drop of a hat if offered a better deal elsewhere However I agree the set up is better than it has been and should be with the amount of money being spent on managers of every aspect of the club.

All clubs are playing under the same circumstances. We will be playing more midweek games than usual (like all our competition) and will also have to cover absentees if players pick up the virus. If we have a squad big enough to rotate players and keep them fresh under these circumstances while others don’t, that has to be an advantage for us.

Listening to his interview, once I'd got past the amount of times he said 'obviously', he describes himself as fast and a runner.

When Hardie doesn't play we have absolutely zero pace upfront which means teams can press and play a high line with no fear of being caught in behind at all, he could offer that perhaps as an option impact sub and be effective.

Lowe knows what he's looking for, Fornah was bought in to help playing out from the back etc. He hasn't got the money left to bring in a proper quality, fast, clinical striker so instead he's been offered this young lad from Fulham with no commitment and probably very little to none of his wages and said 'yea why not, he gives us something we haven't got elsewhere'. That's fine by me.

Sorry to but 'RL appears to be signing players for the sake of it' is an opinion... One you are of course entitled to, but it is not a fact

Have to assume that the club is still being run sustainably and sensibly within means, there's been nothing from Hallett or Lowe to suggest otherwise.

It does feel like a big squad but we have been struggling with it being too small for too long. This depth could make the difference in the later period of the season when everyone gets knack and we need backup. And yes I'm aware Abraham is only until Jan but I'm talking about the squad as a whole.

Be under no illusions - this is a nice problem to have.

Five of the players are loan signings and three of those from Premier League clubs and another from a Championship club so I'd doubt if we are paying much towards their cost, the parent club would send them out for development and games at little cost to Argyle.
For the other players the club would have incentivised wages, as already mentioned by Lowe.
