Very difficult for me.
Argyle 4 Brizzle city 0 I think Coughlan scored directly from a corner? Just about the first Argyle memory. For sheer ecstasy Argyle 1 Pomparse 0 in the playoffs a few seasons ago
But I think purely for the experience of being squeezed into the Demport end was the Fa cup tie home to Everton 1-1. It was a dizzying roar when we scored against a great Everton team.

This one for me as well.
This thread is a good distraction from the current news ! Happy days reminder, whichever one we’ve gone for.

Just remembered 73/74 Blackburn 2-1 night game 28000 on a school night, what an atmosphere. Sorry couldn’t resist the second post !

Best first half was 4-0 v Fulham when Bobby Moore had to be subbed because we were so dominant.

City 4-0 promotion night was probably best for atmosphere.

74/5 promotion season Pete.

I remember beating Huddersfield 6.1 in 1987 Tier 2. People were still complaining on leaving the ground.

That Hillsborough game takes some beating. We were outrageously good and it was bouncing in our end that night.

Some of the performances in Holloway's spell were fantastic too.. Sunderland away 3-2 was an epic

Oh yes! I'm with you Pogleswoody! I still get the shivers remembering that game against QPR! Alan Welsh with his boots on fire! Those certainly were the days.

As an impressionable 12 year old I thought the 3-0 Cup win in January 1962 against West Ham was not too shabby.. Had everything , great goals , cigar smoke , brass band , cigar smoke , fantastic atmosphere , cigar smoke... :scarf:

Probably not the best match quality wise but memorable for all sorts of reasons the battle of Saltergate.Seeing Argyle win 2.1 with 8 men on the pitch at the end, on a hostile northern ground takes some beating .My abiding memory was Tony James giving the we are not worthy player accolade to the Argyle fans when he was red carded in the fracas
